Over the last three years, we have made different iterations of an open Excel tool that you can use to calculate the carbon stored in your biobased buildings. Our newest tool uses validated product data to produce a quantification of the Net Carbon Removal Benefit of your construction project, following our Certification Protocol based on the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework.

Construction Stored Carbon Calculation Tool (OLD)
The old Construction Stored Carbon tool is more intuitive to use for students and others new to calculating carbon storage in buildings, as you can browse material types per product category. Feel free to use it for research purposes, presentations or other uses. Its results and data may no longer be up to date.
