Double Nature Talk on European policy
What is happening in the EU? Join the update from Anna Dubowik of the Negative Emissions Platform on the evolving European policy framework on carbon removal technologies and solutions on Wednesday November 11, 8pmCET. The European Commission recognises that reaching the net-zero GHG goal by 2050 will rely heavily on optimising the natural sinks and deploying carbon dioxide removal technologies. Carbon removals span a number of policy areas from climate and energy through mobility and aviation, to environment and agriculture. Advancing this agenda involves solving cross-cutting issues and working with a large number of stakeholders. Anna will present the latest developments and upcoming Commission initiatives, and will introduce a new Brussels-based organisation – Negative Emissions Platform – set up to improve political and public recognition of carbon removals in the EU and beyond.
