Two members of our Sargassum Cleanup Expedition Team, Peter Lindeman and Fons Janssen, have safely arrived on Saint Martin on Augustus 31 2020. For two weeks they’re observing the Sargassum seaweed which is blooming with great impact. The team is collecting and drying the seaweed to bring it to the Netherlands for experiments. And of course they’re talking to all kinds of stakeholders on Saint Martin about their view on and experience with Sargassum seaweed and the effect it has on ecosystems.
